Center Air Bag Sensor and Bracket
WARNING: The backup power supply energy must be depleted before any air bag component service is performed. To deplete the backup
power supply energy, disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute for the backup power supply energy to be depleted.
Center Sensor
2. Remove the two center air bag sensor bolts.
3. Disconnect the center air bag sensor electrical connector as follows:
a. Press the orange knob and disconnect the orange connector.
b. Press the blue knob and disconnect the blue connector.
4. Remove the center air bag sensor and bracket from the vehicle.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the center air bag sensor bolts to 9-13 Nm (80-115 lb in).
6. Verify that the air bag warning indicator is operative.
