Using a die grinder or equivalent, remove the reinforcing rib that surrounds the hazard switch opening on the underside of the upper steering
column cover (Figures 1 and 2).
NOTE:
DO NOT GRIND THE RIB SURFACE BELOW FLUSH (FIGURE 1).
5.
Reassemble the steering column cover by reversing the order of removal.
6.
Verify proper operation of the hazard flasher switch.
