Retaining Wire Removal
19. Rotate bushing and remove retaining wire.
20. Remove rack from right side of steering gear.
21. Remove O-ring and seal using rack inner seal removal tool T87C-3504-A,or equivalent.
ASSEMBLY
1. Install a new seal and O-ring.
2. Install rack into steering gear.
Retainer Wire Installation
3. Insert retaining wire through slot and into bushing hole.
4. Install retaining wire using outer box torque adapter T88C-3504-CH, or equivalent.
5. If valve housing, steering gear housing or pinion and control valve assembly has been replaced, perform valve housing adjustment procedure. See:

6. Insert pinion and control valve assembly into valve housing, ensure that it seats properly.
7. Install a new O-ring.
8. Install valve housing, pinion and control valve assembly into steering gear.
9. Install bearing using pinion seal/torque adapter T88C-3504-BH, or equivalent.
