Shift Cable: Adjustments
1. Disconnect battery, then engage parking brake.
2. Move transaxle selector lever into PARK position, then remove shift console panel.
3. Remove shift lever knob screws, then gearshift lever knob.
4. Remove transaxle control selector dial screws. Ensure detent spring roller is in PARK detent, then remove transaxle control selector dial bezel.
5. Loosen transaxle shift cable and bracket bolts, then adjust shift cable and bracket at shift lever and move to desired position.
6. Inspect shift cable and bracket for proper adjustment at shift lever, then inspect shift lever trunnion.
Transaxle Shift Control
7. Press selector push rod and ensure guide plate and guide pin clearances are with specifications.
8. Repeat previous step when transaxle selector lever is shifted to NEUTRAL and DRIVE. If clearance is not as specified, adjust shift cable.
9. Install shift quadrant, then the shift quadrant bezel.
