Aspire L4-81 1.3L SOHC (1994)
Shift Cable: Service and Repair
1. Place transaxle shift lever in the "1" position.
2. Remove instrument panel, then the heater core.
3. Remove cotter pin, then the gearshift cable mounting bracket from gearshift lever trunnion on transaxle.
4. Remove transaxle locking clip, then lift shift cable and bracket from gear shift cable mounting bracket.
5. Remove shift console panel, then the gearshift lever knob.
6. Remove transaxle control selector dial bezel, then the transaxle shift cable and bracket locknut.
7. Remove shift cable and bracket, then the rubber grommet from bulkhead.
8. Pull shift cable from vehicle.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
