Emissions Recall 91E04 - Cracked Fuel Vapor Hoses on Certain 1986 Through 1988-Model Ranger, F-Series and Bronco Trucks Equipped With 2.3L
and 4.9L California Engines
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1986 and 1987-Model F-Series and Bronco trucks equipped with California 4.9L engines and 1986 through 1988-Model Rangers equipped with
California 2.3L engines. The trucks were manufactured at the Kansas City, Louisville, Michigan Truck, Ontario Truck and Twin Cities Truck Plants.
REASONS FOR RECALL
Fuel vapor hoses between the vapor valve on the fuel tank and the metal tube leading to the carbon cannister may crack or split and cause the affected
trucks to exceed evaporative emissions standards.
SERVICE ACTION
Trucks returned for service will have vapor hoses replaced
