Lower the fuel tank far enough to gain access to the vapor valve and carefully disconnect the hose from the valve.
Note:
The end of the hose can be slit/cut with a utility knife for ease of hose removal.

Disconnect the vapor return line from the clips holding it to the rear crossmember and to the right frame rail.
6.
Disconnect the hose from the vapor return line.
7.
Obtain the new hose from the parts kit and cut it to match the length of the removed hose.
8.
Carefully connect the new hose to the vapor valve at the tank, then connect the other end of the hose to the steel vapor return line and then reinstall
the vapor return lines into the routing clips on the frame.
9.
Raise the fuel tank back into position and install the retainer bolts and nuts for the fuel tank straps.
10.
Remove the jack from under the fuel tank.
11.
Reposition and secure the spare tire assembly, lower the vehicle and fill the fuel tank.
12.
Connect the inertia switch. Start the engine and check for leaks.
MID-SHIP TANKS
Fuel System Pressure Relief
CAUTION
Fuel supply lines on EFI engines will remain pressurized for some period of time after the engine is shut off. This residual pressure must be relieved
before servicing of the fuel system is begun.
Relieve the residual pressure in the fuel system as follows:

Disconnect the inertia switch.

Crank the engine for 15 to 20 seconds to relieve pressure.
Replace Fuel Vapor Hose
1.
Drain the fuel from the tank.
2.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist and position a suitable jack under the fuel tank.
3.
Remove the retainer nuts and bolts that secure the skid plate and the fuel tank straps and lower the fuel tank far enough to gain access to the vapor
valve.
4.
Cut/Slit the hose ends and then carefully remove the vapor hoses.
5.
Obtain the new hose from the parts kit, cut it to match the length of the removed hose.
6.
Carefully connect the hose to the vapor valve and to the steel vapor return line.
7.
Raise the fuel tank back up into position and install the retainer nuts and bolts.
8.
Remove the jack from under the vehicle and lower the vehicle.
9.
Connect the inertia switch, start the engine and check for leaks.

Perform the steps shown for Aft-of-Axle Tanks.
