Replace Fuel Vapor Hose
1.
Drain the fuel from the tank.
2.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist and position the spare tire assembly out of the way.
3.
Position a suitable jack under the fuel tank and remove the 4 nuts and bolts that secure the fuel tank straps to the frame.
4.
Lower the fuel tank far enough to gain access to the vapor valve and carefully disconnect the hose from the valve. Note: The end of the hose can
be slit/cut with a utility knife for ease of hose removal.
5.
Disconnect the vapor return line from the clips holding it to the rear crossmember and to the right frame rail.
6.
Disconnect the hose from the vapor return line.
7.
Obtain the new hose from the parts kit and cut it to match the length of the removed hose.
8.
Carefully connect the new hose to the vapor valve at the tank, then connect the other end of the hose to the steel vapor return line and then reinstall
the vapor return lines into the routing clips on the frame.
9.
Raise the fuel tank back into position and install the retainer bolts and nuts for the fuel tank straps.
10.
Remove the jack from under the fuel tank.
11.
Reposition and secure the spare tire assembly, lower the vehicle and fill the fuel tank.
12.
Connect the inertia switch. Start the engine and check for leaks.

CAUTION: Fuel supply lines on EFI engines will remain pressurized for some period of time after the engine is shut off. This residual pressure must be
relieved before servicing of the fuel system is begun.
