TRANSMISSION - AUTOMATIC - A4LD - OVERDRIVE CENTER SUPPORT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
LIGHT TRUCK 1985-86 RANGER, BRONCO II, AEROSTAR
Reports are being received regarding continuing difficulty in installing the overdrive center support, with high clutch seals, into the intermediate brake
drum.
It is imperative that the installation procedure, published in the A4LD training manuals and the 1985-86 shop manuals, be strictly followed to ensure
proper installation without damage to the high clutch seals and avoidance of subsequent transmission concerns and repeat repairs.
To alleviate this condition, the proper procedure is being reissued.
