LIGHT TRUCK 1985 RANGER, BRONCO II
Some Ranger and Bronco II vehicles built between 8/13/84 (Job No. 1, 1985) and 3/31/85 may exhibit low or no clutch pedal reserve. Vehicles with no
reserve may exhibit gear clash and hard shifting. These conditions (low/no reserve) are the result of a clutch pedal dimensional discrepancy.
If a vehicle exhibits gear clash or hard shifting symptoms, check clutch pedal reserve before attempting other major repairs. If a no or minimal reserve
condition exists (transmission cannot be shifted into reverse without gear clash) and the vehicle was built during the above mentioned time period,
replace the existing pedal with a new part E5TZ-7519-A. This new pedal will increase clutch pedal reserve to an acceptable level.
