9. Lower transmission and clutch housing.
10. Mark assembled position of pressure plate and cover to the flywheel for installation.
11. Loosen pressure plate and cover attaching bolts evenly until pressure plate springs are completely expanded, then remove attaching bolts.
12. Remove pressure plate, cover assembly and clutch disc from flywheel. These parts can be removed through the opening in the bottom of the clutch
housing on models equipped with a dust cover.
13. Remove pilot bearing, if required.
14. Install pilot bearing, if removed.
15. Install clutch disc onto flywheel, then insert clutch alignment tool No. T74P-7137-K or equivalent into clutch pilot bearing hole. Ensure clutch
disc is properly aligned on flywheel.
16. If installing original pressure plate and cover assembly, align marks made during removal and position pressure plate and cover assembly onto
flywheel.
17. Install pressure plate attaching bolts and torque bolts to 15-25 ft lbs (20-33 Nm).
18. Remove clutch disc alignment tool.
19. Raise transmission and clutch housing assembly into position, then install No. 2 crossmember support on to frame.
20. Lower transmission and insulator into crossmember support, and tighten attaching nuts.
21. Remove transmission jack.
22. Install driveshaft. Ensure marks made on driveshaft align properly with mark on companion flange. Tighten attaching nuts and bolts to 70-95 ft lbs
(94-128 Nm).
23. Install housing to engine block attaching bolts in correct position as removed. Torque attaching bolts to 28-38 ft lbs (37-51 Nm).
24. Install slave cylinder hydraulic hose, then the hose to slave cylinder retaining clip.
25. Install starter motor onto engine.
26. Lower vehicle and connect clutch hydraulic system master cylinder to the clutch pedal and to the dash panel assembly. Check clutch for proper
operation.
