Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to Front Seat - in this section. | 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 1 - Underseat stowage tray (if equipped) 4 - Seat base retaining screws 3. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Removal Details Item 2 : Underseat stowage tray housing (if equipped) | -
Remove the underseat stowage tray housing (if equipped). - Using a suitable electric hand drill, remove the rivets.
- Remove the stowage tray housing.
| Item 3 : Compact disc (CD) changer (if equipped) | -
Remove the CD changer (if equipped). - Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Using a suitable electric hand drill, remove the rivets.
- Remove the CD changer.
| Item 5 : Seat base | -
Detach the heater mat electrical connectors from the underside of the seat. - Using a suitable screwdriver, depress the locking tangs.
- Detach the electrical connectors.

Detach the underseat electrical harnesses from the seat base. - Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Detach the retaining clips.
| Item 6 : Cushion pad | -
Remove the cushion cover and pad. - Detach the retaining clips.
- Detach the retaining strips.
| Item 7 : Cushion cover | -
Remove the cushion cover. - Roll the cushion cover inwards to access the pleating hog rings.
- Cut the hog rings.

Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog rings must be closed to overlap as illustrated. | Item 3 : Compact disc (CD) changer (if equipped) Item 2 : Underseat stowage tray housing (if equipped) |
