RADIO - REPLACEMENT SPEAKER HAS THREE
MOUNTING HOLES INSTEAD OF FOUR -
INSTALLATION TIPS

FORD:

MERCURY:
1995-2000 MYSTIQUE

ISSUE
When necessary to replace a door speaker, the new replacement speaker will have three mounting holes instead of four. The four hole speaker is no
longer available.

ACTION
When replacing a door speaker, 2 of the original mounting points will align with the new speaker and 1 additional hole will need to be made to mount the
new speaker to the door.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Place the window in the up position.

2.

Align the two bottom holes on the speaker with the 2 bottom original holes on the inner door panel (Figure 1).

3.

Fasten the bottom two screws into position (Figure 1).

4.

Using 1 of the original screws, attach the third mounting screw into the top locator hole using a power screw gun. The screw is a metal,
self-tapping screw and will cut through the inner door panel sheet metal (Figure 1).

5.

Re-assemble the door trim.
