Contour L4-122 2.0L CNG DOHC VIN Z SFI (1996)
4. Install guide retaining screw.
5. Install new safety belt guide retaining nut. Tighten nut to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).
6. Install door scuff plates/lower body center pillar.
7. Install B-pillar trim.
8. Install bolt retaining safety belt retractor and tongue to seat frame.
9. Install front seat cushion side shield.
10. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure.
Rear Seat - Retractor and Tongue
REMOVAL
1. Remove rear seat cushion.
2. Remove rear safety belt retaining plate-to-C-pillar bolt.
3. Snap out rear safety belt opening bezel in quarter trim panel.
4. Remove quarter trim panel.
5. Remove rear safety belt retractor retaining bolt.
6. Remove plate end of safety belt through the opening in the quarter trim panel.
7. Remove rear seat shoulder strap guide retaining bolt.
8. Remove rear safety belt retractor and tongue assembly from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Position rear safety belt retractor and tongue in vehicle. Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
2. Install rear seat shoulder strap guide retaining bolt.
3. Pass plate end of safety belt through the opening in the quarter trim panel.
4. Install rear safety belt retractor retaining bolt. Tighten bolt to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).
5. Install quarter trim panel.
6. Install rear safety belt opening bezel in quarter trim panel.
