8. Place trilobe boot insert into place on joint outer housing, then fill housing and boot with suitable quantity and type CV joint grease.
9. Place joint outer housing onto tripot assembly, then position boot onto trilobe insert.
10. Ensure boot is in a relaxed position (not stretched, compressed or dimpled). If necessary, pry up edge of boot using a blunt flat tool and allow air
pressure to equalize. This ensures proper joint outer housing positioning over tripot assembly.
11. Clean any excess grease from outside of joint and boot.
12. Place large clamp into position on boot, then using suitable boot clamp ring pliers, tighten clamp ring securely.
NOTE: Do not overtighten clamp ring or cut or deform boot.
13. On lefthand axle, place a new driveshaft bearing retainer circlip onto joint housing.
CAUTION: Use caution not to stretch or deform circlip during installation.
14. Ensure joint moves freely with no binding or excessive looseness.
