Brake Shoe: Service and Repair
1. Remove brake drum.
2. Remove brake shoe hold down springs and brake shoe hold down spring pins.
3. Remove brake shoe retracting springs.
4. Disengage parking brake rear cable and conduit from parking brake lever.
5. Remove brake shoes. Remove parking brake return spring. Disengage rear brake strut and quadrant from shoe.
6. Remove parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake cable anchor on trailing brake shoe.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Lubricate shoe contact points on backing plate with a suitable lubricant.
