Camshaft Oil Seal: Service and Repair

Ford does not provide camshaft gear timing marks, or information to perform timing belt service without the special tools shown in the
timing belt service and repair procedure.

REMOVAL

1. Remove timing belt.
2. Remove camshaft sprockets, then, using seal remover T92C-6700-CH, or equivalent, remove camshaft front oil seal from camshaft journal thrust

caps.

3. Lubricate camshaft front oil seals with clean engine oil.

4. Using camshaft seal replacer T81P-6700-A, or equivalent, and rubber mallet, install camshaft front oil seals into camshaft journal thrust caps.

INSTALLATION

1. Install camshaft sprockets.
2. Install timing belt.
