Seat Belt Buckle: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove front bucket seat.
2. Remove and discard bucket seat safety belt retaining nut from front safety belt buckle end assembly. Retaining nut is not reuseable. On LH side

and under front seat, disconnect safety belt warning chime wire and pry locator off the seat.

3. Pull front safety belt buckle end upward to remove from seat.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Be sure to position front safety belt buckle end assembly as shown.
2. Install new retaining nut. Tighten to 38 Nm (28 lb-ft).
3. Check the restraint system for proper operation.
