Reverse Clutch Piston Installation
2. Use seal protector tool to install reverse clutch piston with integral seals in reverse clutch drum, then install reverse clutch return spring assembly.
3. Use clutch spring compressor tool No. T65L-77515-A or equivalent to compress reverse clutch return spring, then install retaining ring with snap
ring pliers.
4. Remove spring compressor, then install reverse clutch plates and pressure plate retainer snap ring.
5. Use a feeler gauge to measure clearance at two points between reverse clutch pressure plate and retainer snap ring, then average measurements. If
result is not between 0.01 and 0.04 inch, choose a selective fit snap ring to obtain standard clearance. Sizes available include 0.055-0.059 inch,
0.060-0.064 inch, and 0.065-0.070 inch.
