Front

CALIPER REMOVAL

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.

3. Remove outer brake shoe and lining spring clip from brake shoe and lining and front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
4. Remove locating pin covers and remove disc brake caliper locating pins.
5. Disconnect front brake hose at front shock absorber.
6. Lift front disc brake caliper off front disc brake rotor. Remove inboard brake shoe and lining from front disc brake caliper.

BRAKE SHOE AND LINING REMOVAL

NOTE: When serviceing brake shoes and linings, replace all four brake shoes and linings (complete axle set).

1. Remove inboard brake shoe and lining from disc brake caliper.
2. Remove outboard brake shoe and lining from the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.

BRAKE SHOE AND LINING INSTALLATION

1. Position outboard brake shoe and lining in the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
2. Install inboard brake shoe and lining into the disc brake caliper.

CALIPER INSTALLATION

1. Position inboard brake shoe and lining onto disc brake caliper. Position disc brake caliper on front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
2. Install two disc brake caliper locating pins. Tighten to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
3. Install outer brake shoe and lining and spring clip.
4. Connect front brake hose at front shock absorber.
5. Bleed brake system. 
6. Install wheel and tire assembly. Tighten lug nuts to 85 Nm (62 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower vehicle.

8. Check the level of brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir.
9. Road test vehicle to make sure brakes operate properly.
