Using a jumper wire, supply battery voltage to the green wire with a blue tracer, as shown in Figure 4, to energize the cooling fan(s). See Figure 4.

If the cooling fan(s) operate, remove the jumper wire and proceed to ELECTRONIC FUSE INSTALLATION in this Attachment III.

If the single cooling fan or either fan of a dual cooling fan assembly does not operate, call the Recall Hotline at 1-800-325-5621 to order the
appropriate cooling fan and motor replacement kit, then proceed to the appropriate replacement procedure in this Attachment III. For dual
cooling fan applications, one kit will service both fan assemblies.
Electronic Fuse Installation
NOTE:
You should perform this repair only if your inspection revealed a motor with a stamped slotted end cap which operates when energized. In this
situation, the vehicle will not require cooling fan and blade replacement.
1.
Raise and support the vehicle on a hoist (dual cooling fan applications only).
2.
Locate and disconnect the cooling fan harness electrical connector. On dual cooling fan applications, disconnect both cooling fan harness electrical
connectors.
NOTE:
On dual cooling fan applications, be sure to install electronic fuses on BOTH cooling fans.
