Child Restraint: Service Precautions
WARNINGS

Failure to follow these precautions could increase the chance and/or severity of an injury in an accident.

Ford recommends placement of tethered safety seats in a rear seating position with the tether strap attached to the tether anchoring
point.

Ensure the lap portion of the belt is fitted snugly, and as low as possible around the hips, not around the waist. Failure to do so may
increase the chance of injury in the event of a collision.

A child in a rear-facing child restraint installed in the front seat can be badly injured by the passenger air bag if it inflates. Never use a
rear-facing child restraint in the front seat. If a forward-facing child restraint is suitable for your child, always move the passenger seat
as far back as possible. attach belt to buckle. Tighten belt for more information, see your owner guide and the instructions that came with
your child restraint.

Carefully follow all of the manufacturer's instructions that come with safety seat that you put in your vehicle. Make sure that the
shoulder belt (if provided at the seating position where the safety seat is being used) does not cross or rest in front of the child's face or
neck. If you do not install and use the safety seat properly, the child may be injured in a sudden stop or collision.

When using any infant or child restraint system, it is important that you follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer concerning
its installation and use. Failure to follow each of the restraint manufacturer's instructions can result in a child striking the vehicle's
interior during a sudden stop or collision.

It is important that the bolt/anchor be securely tightened to specification. Otherwise, the child safety seat may not be properly secured,
and the child could be injured in case of a sudden stop or collision.
