This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to include an revised bracket for vehicles with a manual transmission.

ISSUE:
Incorrect assembly of the intermediate shaft bracket may cause a leak from the RH differential seal and transaxle wearout, noise, vibration, and harshness
(NVH) concerns, or oil filter damage and subsequent engine issues. The original style of intermediate shaft bracket had two sets of holes, one for CD4E
applications, and the other for MTX-75 applications. It was possible to inadvertently use the wrong set of holes when remounting the shaft after starter
motor service or other repair.

ACTION:
Use the unique support bracket to correct concern and prevent mismounting. There are now two (2) separate support brackets, one for MTX-75 and one
for CD4E. Refer to the following text for details.
