Contour V6-153 2.5L DOHC (1996)
Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Adjustments
1. Turn manual control lever to NEUTRAL position.
2. Remove engine intake air resonator and Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
3. Loosen two TR sensor retaining bolts
4. Align TR sensor slots using TR Sensor Alignment Tool T94P-70010-AH.
5. Tighten retaining bolts to 9-12 Nm (7-9 lb ft).
6. Install air intake resonator and MAF sensor.
7. Check for proper operation with parking brake control engaged. The engine should only start in PARK or NEUTRAL. Back-up lamps should
activate only in the REVERSE position.
