Crown Victoria V8-281 4.6L SFI (1998)
14. NOTE: Make sure exhaust system clears No. 3 crossmember. Adjust as necessary.
Remove wire and position exhaust system to both exhaust manifolds. Install four nuts and tighten to 27-41 Nm (20-30 ft. lbs.).
15. Replace oil bypass filter.
16. Lower vehicle.
17. Install heater blower motor switch resistor with two retaining screws.
18. Position heater water hose. Install upper stud bolt and lower bolt and tighten upper stud bolt and lower bolt to 20-30 Nm (15-22 ft. lbs.). Install
ground strap on stud and tighten nut to 20-30 Nm (15-22 ft. lbs.).
19. Connect heater water hose.
20. Connect 42-pin connector and eight-pin transmission harness connector at power brake booster.
21. Connect A/C compressor to condenser discharge line to A/C compressor and install nut retaining hose to engine front cover stud bolt.
22. Install upper radiator hose.
23. Connect fuel lines.
24. Install windshield wiper governor and retaining bracket.
25. Fill crankcase with clean Super Premium SAE 10W30 Motor Oil XO-10W30-QSP to specified level.
26. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning.
27. Install fan blade and fan shroud and fill cooling system.
28. Connect battery ground cable.
29. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
30. Start engine and check for leaks.
