3. Insert rear safety belt retractor and tongue through opening in the quarter trim panel. Snap rear safety belt opening grommet into quarter trim

panel.

4. Install rear safety belt anchor and rear safety belt anchor-to-trim panel bolts.
5. Install roof side rear quarter trim panel.
6. Install rear safety belt anchor nut. Tighten nut to 41-55 N.m (31-40 Lb-Ft).
7. Install rear seat cushion kit.
8. Check restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure. See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General

Diagnostics

Shoulder Strap Adjuster, Front Seat

REMOVAL

1. Dislodge upper flap of front seat shoulder strap guide cover by gently pulling outward on its outer edges. Once released, lift upper flap away to

reveal the front safety belt guide hex flange retaining nut.

2. Remove front seat shoulder strap guide cover by slipping finger behind it toward center of vehicle to dislodge from front safety belt guide. Lift

front seat shoulder strap guide cover to remove.

3. Insert Safety Belt Bolt Bit 501-010 (T77L-2100-A) and remove the front safety belt guide hex flange retaining nut.
4. Remove center body pillar inside upper finish panel.
5. Remove front seat shoulder strap adjuster bolts and remove front seat shoulder strap adjuster.

INSTALLATION

1. Insert the front seat shoulder strap adjuster in the opening of the upper B-pillar structure. Make sure that front seat shoulder strap adjuster knob on

the front seat strap adjuster is positioned above the front safety belt guide ring attachment stud. (The locator tab is located at the bottom of the
adjuster bracket and is in the B-pillar structure immediately above the lower bolt hole.)

2. Align both retaining bolts in the front seat strap adjuster to the weld nuts in the B-pillar reinforcement.
3. Hand-start top and bottom retaining bolts until snug.
4. Tighten both top and bottom bolts to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).
5. After installation of the front seat shoulder strap adjuster, install the center body pillar inside upper finish panel.
6. Test the adjuster knob by squeezing the release button and sliding the front seat shoulder strap adjuster up and down.

NOTE:  Knob must be able to travel from top to bottom of slot in the B-pillar upper finish panel.

7. Position the front safety belt guide to the B-pillar. Position and hand-start the front safety belt guide hex flange retaining nut on the front seat

shoulder strap adjuster stud. Tighten to 34-46 N.m (25-33 Lb-Ft).

8. Check to see that the front safety belt guide rotates freely after installation.
9. Gently push upper flap of front seat shoulder strap guide cover down until it snaps onto the front safety belt guide.

10. Position the front seat shoulder strap adjuster knob in the uppermost position.
11. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure. See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and
