CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital components and systems and their failure can
result in major service expense. They must be replaced with the same part number or an equivalent part if replacement is necessary. Do not
use a replacement part of lesser quality of substitute design. Torque values must be used during reassembly to ensure proper retention of
these parts.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the cotter pin and nut. Discard the cotter pin.
4. Using the special tool, remove the tie-rod end from the front wheel spindle.
5. Remove the coil spring.
