Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair
SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATOR SWITCH
Removal
CAUTION: Do not press the pedal when removing or installing the speed control deactivator switch, as the switch will be damaged.
1. Disconnect the speed control deactivator switch electrical connector.
2. Rotate counterclockwise 45 degrees and remove the speed control deactivator switch.
Installation
NOTE: The speed control deactivator switch is self-adjusting. Do not pull up or push-down on the brake pedal during installation. The switch will
only self-adjust one time and allows for only the initial installation. If further adjustment becomes necessary, a new switch must be used.
1. Install the speed control deactivator switch, and rotate clockwise 45 degrees.
2. Connect the speed control deactivator switch electrical connector.
