Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR
ANY FUEL-RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Position the power steering pump out of the way. For additional information, refer to Steering.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
4. Remove the mounting arm and pivot shaft. For additional information, refer to Wiper and Washer Systems.
5. Disconnect the:

idle air control valve.
^
throttle position sensor.
6. Disconnect the eight ignition coils.
7. Disconnect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors.
