Removal and Installation
CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital parts and systems and their failure can result in
major service expense. A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation becomes necessary. Do not use a replacement
part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of
these parts.
1. Remove the front coil spring.
2. Remove and discard the shock absorber lower nut, then slide the shock absorber off the radius arm.

To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.)
3. Remove the radius arm-to-axle nut and bolt, the spring retainer and the insulator.

Discard the nut and bolt.

To install, tighten to 300 Nm (221 ft. lbs.)
4. Remove the radius arm rear nut, washer and rear insulator.

Discard the radius arm rear nut.
^
To install, tighten to 133 Nm (98 ft. lbs.)
5. Remove the radius arm from the bracket and remove the spacer, insulator and washer.
6. NOTE: Inspect the spring and radius arm insulators and install new as necessary.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
