7. CAUTION:  Do not handle the passenger air bag module by grabbing the edges of the deployment door.

Remove the passenger air bag.

Release the passenger air bag retaining tabs. (retainer on each side).

Separate and remove the passenger air bag module from the instrument panel.

Installation

1. Remove or position anything aside that may be blocking the accessibility to the passenger air bag alignment rails.

2. Check passenger air bag alignment locators and J-nuts for damage, repair as needed.

3. Install the passenger air bag module.

Position the passenger air bag module alignment locators to the alignment rails of the I/P.

Align the passenger air bag module deployment door tabs.
