Removal and Installation
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power
steering components can occur.
1. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
2. Disconnect the power steering reservoir-to-power steering pump hose.
3. Disconnect the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump.

Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the power steering pump bolts and the pump.

To install, tighten to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
5. NOTE: When connecting a fitting with an O-ring seal, a new seal must be installed.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Using the special tool, install a new O-ring seal on the power steering pressure fitting.

Fill and leak check the system.
