Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the disc brake caliper and the brake pads.
Front Disc Brake Hub And Rotor
2. Remove the front disc brake hub and rotor.

Remove the hub grease cap.

Remove the cotter pin and the nut retainer.

Remove the spindle nut, front wheel outer bearing retainer washer and the outer front wheel bearing.
CAUTION: With the spindle nut removed, the front disc brake hub and rotor can slide off the front wheel spindle.

Remove the front disc brake hub and rotor.
Grease Seal And Rear Wheel Bearing
3. If reusing the front wheel bearings in a new front disc brake hub and rotor, or replacing the front wheel bearings, remove the grease seal and the
inner front wheel bearing. Discard the grease seal.
