Wheel Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Remove brake drum.
2. Remove brake shoes and linings.
3. Disconnect brake line fitting.
CAUTION: Plug end of line to prevent brake fluid leakage.
4. Remove the two wheel cylinder bolts and wheel cylinder.
INSTALLATION
Follow removal procedure in reverse order to install, noting the following:

Tighten mounting bolts to 12-18 Nm (9-13 ft. lbs.).

Bleed brake system.
