Timing Cover: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable(s).
2. Remove the water pump.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Rotate the crankshaft until the damper timing mark aligns with the top dead center indicator.
5. Mark the crankshaft damper and pulley for alignment reference. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
