Heater Core Case: Service and Repair
Plenum Assembly
REMOVAL
WARNING: TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE INJURY, THE AIR BAG SYSTEM BACKUP POWER SUPPLY
MUST BE DEPLETED BEFORE SERVICING ANY CLIMATE CONTROL COMPONENTS. TO DEPLETE THE BACKUP POWER
SUPPLY, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY-TO-STARTER CABLE AND WAIT ONE MINUTE.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose connector.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
5. Remove the heater air plenum chamber.
a. Remove the screws.
b. Remove the heater air plenum chamber.
DISASSEMBLY
