Removal and Installation
Heater Hoses
REMOVAL
NOTE: This procedure is typical of removal and installation of the heater water hoses. The removal and installation of the heater water hoses is
the same for all these vehicles.
1. Drain the cooling system.
WARNING: THE ENGINE MUST BE OFF, FULLY COOL AND THE COOLING SYSTEM FULLY DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO DISCONNECT ANY HEATER WATER HOSES. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS WARNING CAN
RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR BURNS FROM HOT LIQUID ESCAPING OUT OF THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM.
2. Disconnect the quick disconnect heater water hose couplings at the heater core.
3. Remove the engine cover.
4. Disconnect the supply heater water hose at the engine.
5. Disconnect the return heater water hose at the engine.
