Blower Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection
1. Measure the resistance between the relay terminal 85 and all other terminals. If the resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace the relay.
2. Using two jumper wires (10 gauge or larger), connect the relay terminals 86 and 30 directly to the positive battery terminal.
3. Measure the voltage between the relay terminal 87A and ground. If the voltage is less than 10 volts, then replace the relay.
4. If the voltage is greater than 10 volts, connect a third jumper wire (10 gauge or larger) to the relay terminal 85 and a known good ground.
5. Measure the voltage between the relay terminal 87 and ground. If the voltage is less than 10 volts, then replace the relay.
