Mandatory Battery Cable Harness Return Procedure

An FCS-700 Parts Disposition Tag will be issued for the return of removed battery cable harness.
^
Store the old harness in the same box you received the new replacement harness in.
^
Hold the old harness for receipt of FCS-700 tag from Warranty Parts Return Center (WPRC).
^
Wire Tag the FCS-700 tag to the harness.
^
Clearly mark on the outside of the box "Safety Recall 96S54".
Upon Receipt of FCS-700 Tag, ship the removed harness, freight prepaid to the location indicated on the FCS-700 Tag.

1997 Econoline equipped with the 4.2L engine built at the Lorain Assembly Plant from June 6, 1996, through September 5, 1996
Inspection and Modification
1.
Install memory saver module.
2.
Disconnect both battery positive and ground cables.
3.
Raise and support the vehicle.
