Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Place a drain pan and remove the return hose from the power steering pump.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Remove the transmission fluid cooler.
5. Lift the power steering reservoir out of the bracket.
6. Disconnect the power steering cooler to power steering reservoir return hose and position below the vehicle to allow draining.
(1) Compress hose clamp.
(2) Remove reservoir return hose.
7. Drain the fluid from the power steering cooler hose.

Place a drain pan, then disconnect the power steering cooler to power steering reservoir hose at the steering cooler.
