Universal Joint: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
Prior to checking driveline angularity, inspect the rear axle shaft universal joints for proper operation.
Place the vehicle on a frame hoist and rotate the driveshaft by hand. Check for rough operation or seized rear axle shaft universal joints. Replace the rear
axle shaft universal joint if it shows signs of seizure, excessive wear or improper seating.
