Some vehicles use an EGR valve with a remote back pressure transducer, Fig. 51. This assembly operates the same as the EGR valve with integral
back pressure transducer valve and is serviced only as an assembly.
Some vehicles use a variable transducer type EGR valve and consists of three components; a vacuum regulator, EGR valve and a flow control
orifice. The regulator modulates the vacuum signal to the EGR valve using two back pressure inputs. One input is the standard vehicle back
pressure and the other is the back pressure down stream of the flow control orifice. The control chamber pickup is in the EGR tube and the flow
control orifice is integral with the upstream EGR tube connector.
