Remove the inboard side shield.

Rotate the inboard side shield upward to release the rear pin-type retainer.

Install a new pin-type retainer if damaged during removal.

Hold the inboard side shield in one hand and release the 2 retaining clips holding the safety belt buckle pretensioner boot to the inboard side
shield and remove the inboard side shield.
Seats without inboard side shield
11. Release the hook-and-loop strip on the inboard cushion flap.
12. Release the J-clip.
13. Release the pin-type retainer and position aside the inboard seat cushion flap.
