6. NOTE: Plug each port of the hydraulic control unit (HCU) to prevent brake fluid from spilling.
Disconnect the 3 brake tube fittings from the HCU.

To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
7. NOTE: Plug each port of the hydraulic control unit (HCU) to prevent brake fluid from spilling.
Disconnect the 2 brake tube fittings from the HCU.

To install, tighten to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
8. Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.
9. Remove the HCU bracket to inner fender well nuts and remove the HCU assembly.

To install, tighten to 29 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
10. Remove the screws and the separate the ABS module from the HCU.

To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^
Bleed the HCU after installation.
