8. Install the transmission insulator bolts and nuts.

Tighten to 94 Nm (69 ft. lbs.).

9. Install the transmission-mounted parking brake.

Install a new transmission-mounted parking brake gasket.

Keeping the vent in an upward position, install the transmission-mounted parking brake assembly.

Install the transmission-mounted parking retaining bolts.

Tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
10. Connect the transmission-mounted parking brake linkage.

Compress the spring on the actuating cable and install the cable into the cable housing.

Install the actuating cable end onto the actuating lever and install the pin.

Install the hair pin retaining clip into the pin.

Connect the return spring to the pin.
11. Install the driveshaft.
12. Start the engine. Move the transmission range selector lever through all the gear ranges, checking for engagements.
13. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, engine running and the transmission at normal operating temperature 66 - 77°C (150 - 170°F), check and adjust
the transmission fluid level, and check for any leaks. If fluid is needed, add fluid in increments of 0.24 liter (0.5 pint) until the correct level is
achieved (fluid should be in the cross-hatched area of the fluid level indicator).
