Flexplate or Flywheel and Crankshaft Rear Seal - Exploded View, 5.4L (2V) Engine (Part 2)
Removal
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Remove the bolts and the flexplate.
Installation
4.6L (2V) engine
1. Install the flexplate and the 6 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.

Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
5.4L (2V) engine
2. Install the flexplate and the 8 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.

Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
^
Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
