Brake Adjusting Screw Assembly
5. Remove the adjusting screw assembly.
a. Disconnect the (A) shoe adjuster lever cable from the (B) shoe adjuster lever.
b. Remove the adjuster lever cable (2).
c. Remove the cable guide (3).
d. Remove the adjuster lever return spring and the shoe adjuster lever (4).
e. Remove the shoe adjusting screw spring (2049).
f.
Remove the shoe adjuster screw assembly (6).
Rear Brake Shoe Lining Removal
6. Remove the anchor pins (B), springs (A) and brake shoes.
INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the brake backing plate friction points.
NOTE: Use Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A (Motorcraft WA- 10) or an equivalent silicone
compound meeting Ford specification ESE-MlC171-A.
