Fuel Rail: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Perform Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module
relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
3. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.
4. Remove the fuel line tether clamps.
5. Using (A) and (B) Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tools, disconnect the fuel lines.
6. Remove and discard the four fuel line O-rings.
