Some of the vehicles involved in this program are also involved in Emission Recall 04E09 - Fitting Connector Replacement.
If fuel line replacement is necessary, you will be directed to replace the fittings per Emission Recall 04E09 after the original lines are removed and
before the new lines are installed.
Instructions for both programs are included in this Attachment.

PROCEDURE A - INSPECTION OF FUEL LINE FOR LEAK
1.
Start the engine and raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2.
Using Snoop(R) or a soapy water solution, check the rear high-pressure fuel line in the area just forward of the No. 5 crossmember for leaks. Leaks
may be indicated by bubbles forming, the smell of natural gas or the hissing sound of gas escaping. See Figure 1.
