While holding the fitting to keep it from turning, tighten the fitting to the calculated torque specification to achieve 42 Nm (31 lb-ft). See
Figures 7 and 8.

Install the new fitting on the forward aft-axle tank as follows:

Turn the locknut until it is flush with the body of the fitting.

Thread the fitting completely onto the tank valve. DO NOT TIGHTEN the fitting at this time.

Orient the fitting so it is approximately perpendicular to the floor and pointing upward.
NOTE
Return to Procedure E - Fuel Line Replacement, or proceed to Step 7 if only the fittings were replaced to reconnect the fuel lines and complete
this service.
